Allison Sztajer, LCSW-C

Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) who joined GBCC in 2021.
I earned my master’s degree from University of Maryland School of Social
Work in 2007. Prior to joining GBCC I worked in the school setting for 10
years (ages K-21) and spent 4 years in an integrative care setting.

I have over 14 years of experience counseling children, adolescents, and
young adults, as well as the parents of children with emotional and behavioral
disorders and other disabilities.

I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults that are struggling
with a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, autism,
learning disabilities, anger management, emotional regulation, self-harm and
suicidal thoughts, and impulsivity. I also specialize in counseling parents of
children with disabilities or other adjustment issues.

I work from a strength-based perspective and recognize the potential for
growth, change, and healing in every person. I utilize a warm, supportive, and
nonjudgmental approach to helping people address their challenges.
