Licensed Professional Counselor
Camilla Cryer is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia. She obtained her Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts from Bucks County Community College, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia, and a Master of Arts Degree in Community Counseling from Regent University. Camilla is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Camilla’s experience as a professional counselor is versatile. Over the course of her career, Camilla has worked in residential group homes for adult clients with Intellectual Disabilities, a substance abuse treatment program, a home for women and their children who were victims of domestic violence, and for clients with major clinical diagnoses. She also provided home-based services, support in group therapy, and outpatient counseling to children/teens, parents, couples, and families. Camilla’s foundation with clients is person centered. Including empathy and validation in the therapeutic process allows the client to have a voice and be heard without judgement. She uses evidenced based theoretical orientations and works collaboratively with clients to develop their individualized treatment goals. She also believes in educating clients to allow them to become experts in their mental well-being as well as access resources in the community to include in their support systems. Camilla is also active in a variety of community service projects and a firm believer in giving back to the community.
