Celebrating 7 Years

Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical

I believe the cornerstone of therapy is building a positive relationship together. I work with children ages 6 years and older, am skilled in family therapy, and also see adult patients. In my work, I draw from over 10 years of experience, during which I have developed a strong knowledge of child development and sensitivity to the needs of families with children. I work with patients who have: ADHD symptoms, depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and anger management. My experience has also included working with people who identify as being on the Autism Spectrum utilizing empirically supported approaches. Within the past couple years, I have been working more with adults and adolescents who identify as transgender or LGB.

I have my Masters of School Social Work from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, and am trained in Trauma Focused CBT. I believe that my patients find me to be an empathetic therapist, who tries to be both sensitive and affirming of others and their personal backgrounds, and uses this knowledge of identity intersectionality to work towards growth and healing.
