Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor / Pronouns: She/Her
For over twelve years I have worked in a variety of areas as a mental health practitioner. I worked with students and their families providing individual, family and group counseling and support for seven years before leaving the school system. My departure from the school system allowed me to provide counseling services within the community as part of an in-home mobile program, outpatient program and emergency and crisis centers. I have served children, adolescents, adults and seniors with anxiety, depression, adjustment / transition challenges, ADHD, and grief.
I consider it a privilege to ally with clients as they navigate the journey to improve their mental health and wellness. Most importantly, I believe in identifying and utilizing the unique strengths and experiences that every client possesses to support your goals and encourage your progress. To that end, my goal in our collaboration is to help you explore the connections between your experiences, thoughts, and emotions, identify and embrace strengths, establish and increase the supports that may be needed and gain a greater appreciation for your view of self. I use a combination of mindfulness, person-centered, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and psychoeducation techniques to fit the needs of my clients. The decision to ask for and accept help with mental health issues can be intimidating and scary. Rest assured that you can expect an environment that is calm, open, nonjudgmental and waiting for you!
