Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
Shanell Wyche is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who earned her masters in community counseling from George Washington University. Since then, she has worked with youth and families at a family counseling center. Shanell’s clinical experience was then enhanced by several years working at a crisis center serving sexual assault and childhood sexual abuse survivors. Services included psychotherapy for individuals and their families as well as group therapy. Her focus has been on creating positive change and moving people from victim to empowered survivor. Shanell has recently obtained training in couples therapy work with the Gottman Method and takes a interpersonal therapy approach.
Shanell’s specialties include but not limited to: depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, life changes/transitions, relationship problems, marriage counseling, sexual abuse and rape survivors, and challenges with teenagers.
