Licensed Master Social Worker / Pronouns: They/Them

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker and I earned a master’s degree from the University of Maryland School of Social Work with a focus in behavioral health.

I’ve worked with people who have faced challenges with relationships, adverse childhood experiences, trauma, life transitions, learning difficulties and mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I’m informed by evidence-based clinical treatments and have training in various areas, such as motivational interviewing (MI), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and providing ethical care to the LGBTQ+ community.

Before joining GBCC, I provided care to adults within the University of Maryland Medical System. In this setting, I helped patients navigate issues related to financial insecurity, chronic illnesses, and processing traumatic events or coping with the loss of loved ones. I also have experience teaching outreach art classes to children, students with disabilities, and in communities from various socioeconomic backgrounds. I’ve learned so much from individuals who dared to share their stories with me and demonstrate how resilient and proactive we all can be even in the most trying situations.

As a neurodivergent and queer Asian American, I believe identities are too complicated to be put into neat little boxes. I work with you through an intersectional and trauma informed lens and my approach to working together is to provide an affirming space that is strength-based and rooted in humanistic theories. I’m here to learn more about where you are in your journey and how I might be able to support you in the present.
