Laura Steensen, PsyD is a licensed Psychologist, co-founder and Chief of Operations of Clinical Services at GBCC Behavioral Health & Oasis Behavioral Health Urgent Care. Laura’s emphasis on building sustainable business relationships with payors, organizations, and health delivery systems has branded GBCC/Oasis as one of the premier private practices in the Mid Atlantic region. Laura’s focus on innovative delivery models achieves better access to mental health services for our clients. Laura has driven initiatives towards a healthy workplace environment, encouraging team building and leadership skills development for both administrative and clinical staff. The longevity of our staff speaks to the success of these efforts.
When not working, Laura enjoys gardening, nature, live music and the ultimate in recycling... restoring historic properties. Her passions are time with family and friends and environmental stewardship. You’d be equally as likely to find Laura digging in the garden, watching her son perform in his rock band or exploring the nooks and crannies of historic Ellicott City, where she currently resides with her husband and son.

Owner/Executive Director
Juliet Goozh, PhD is co-founder of GBCC Behavioral Health & Oasis Behavioral Health Urgent Care. GBCC has been providing comprehensive mental health services for more than twenty-five years, offering individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy. Dr. Goozh formed GBCC in order to enhance patient care via the ongoing collaboration, education, and support of a team of clinicians with various tools, knowledge, and expertise. This team support and continuous education ensures that GBCC’s staff continue to build their clinical skills and have access to the feedback and training necessary to maintain the highest level of competence and produce superior patient outcomes.
Dr. Goozh is involved in all aspects of running the company and also serves in the role of Chief Financial Officer for GBCC. Dr. Goozh has loved stewarding the company from its inception and thrives on the challenges of creating new programs and expanding care lines to help those in need. At present, GBCC has approximately eighty five clinicians and six locations in Maryland and Northern Virginia. Specialty services include care for first responders, LGBTQ, psychological testing, medication management, and the training of newly licensed clinicians.
In her free time, Dr. Goozh enjoys reading, hiking, horseback riding, weight training, camping, and travel. She has been married for 26 years and is the loving mother of two adult children.

Director
Steve Plummer is a Director at GBCC. He oversees administrative functions, clinical operations, and manages the Trauma and First Responder Care. Steve has a background in training and management in programs related to crisis and law enforcement. Steve has assisted with growth and expansion of GBCC over the last 4 years. Practicality, Humor, and Compassion are important aspects across all corners of his work.
When he's not at GBCC, Steve spends time with family and friends, enjoys travel, film, books, fluent in French and enjoys fitness as an active member of the CrossFit community.

Director
Sarah Simpson, PhD is a director of Clinical Operations, including medication management, testing & evaluation services, and telehealth services. She also provides practice wide policy writing and leadership for content and recruitment marketing as well as provider hiring/onboarding.
In her free time, Sarah stays busy with her spouse, two small children, an old cat, and a mischievous dog. She enjoys cooking or trying new restaurants, traveling, getting stacks of new library books, and kickboxing.

Program Manager
Kevin completed his doctorate degrees in Clinical and Health Psychology from Georgia School of Professional Psychology in 2012. He has been working full time at GBCC since 2013. He got married in 2015 and is now the father of two great kids. A fun fact about Kevin is that both of his children are named after national parks, highlighting his passion for playing outside and exploring nature. When not playing outside with his kids, his self care involves music, meditation, martial arts, and mountain biking.
As the Director of LGBTQ Affirming Care at GBCC, Kevin’s role is to make sure that GBCC is providing the best possible care to clients who have gender and/or sexual diversity as part of their story. That means training our clinicians, training our admin staff, providing an affirming office and therapy environment, increasing access to care, advising on policies and procedures that impact our LGBTQ clients and providers, and providing affirming care to his own therapy clients. Kevin started his professional work providing affirming care in 2008, training and then volunteering with Positive Impact in Atlanta, GA. LGBTQ+ affirming care has remained an important part of his education and clinical work since that time.

Senior Clinical Manager
Melissa Barmash, LCSW-C is the Clinical Office Manager for GBCC's Odenton location. She works as part of a team with the other Clinical Managers to provide support and consistent, coordinated leadership to the clinicians across all of GBCC’s Maryland locations. She is responsible for onboarding and orienting new therapists to the practice, as well as being the first point of contact for any questions or concerns GBCC providers may have. Melissa is also a Board Approved Clinical Social Work Supervisor who works with newly licensed LMSW’s.
When Melissa is not working she enjoys spending time with family, friends and cats, traveling, reading, working on puzzles, creating to-do lists and checking things off her to-do lists.

Margaret Hayward, LCPC, is the Clinical Office Manager of GBCC’s Glen Burnie office. She works as part of a team with the other Clinical Managers to provide support and consistent, coordinated leadership to the clinicians across all of GBCC’s Maryland locations. She is also certified as a Clinical Supervisor to provide supervision for recently graduated LGPCs who join the practice. One of her other duties is the coordination of GBCC's Chart Review Team.
During her off time Margaret enjoys spending time with her husband and her cat as well as taking care of her home which seems to always keep her busy. She is also very fortunate to have her extended family and many friends close to provide support and entertainment.

Courtney “Cori” Cole

Cori Cole, LCPC, is the Clinical Office Manager of GBCC’s Timonium office. She works as part of a team with the other Clinical Managers to provide support and consistent, coordinated leadership to the clinicians across all of GBCC’s Maryland locations. She is part of the team responsible for onboarding and orienting new therapists to the practice, as well as being the first point of contact for questions or concerns GBCC providers may have. She is also certified to be a Clinical Supervisor for recently graduated LGPCs who join the practice.
When she is not working, Cori spends most of her time with her partner and two children, hiking and playing outdoors as much as possible. She also enjoys practicing yoga, reading and caring for her growing variety of plants.
