Licensed Psychologist / Pronouns: He/Him
I’m a licensed psychologist with clinical health psychology experience. I received my doctorate from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Science in Bethesda, MD and completed my clinical internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Subsequently, I managed the VA’s multi-center clinical trials program, worked for Medicare HQ and also the Defense Dept, and most recently practiced at the Behavioral Health Clinic at Ft. Meade. I focus my treatment primarily with a cognitive behavioral framework (CBT), but also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with mindfulness-based and insight-oriented approaches depending on the client. I approach patient challenges with a bio-psycho-social perspective which considers physiological, emotional, spiritual, and interpersonal/relational dimensions for each client.
I specialize in treating depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, interpersonal and adjustment issues, as well as health problems such as chronic pain, sleep disorders, and coping with medical illness. I treat primarily adults, older adolescents, couples, and particularly, military and veterans.
When not working, I enjoy travel, hiking, and pickleball with my family.
