Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical

Welcome! I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C) in the State of Maryland and a board-approved Clinical Supervisor. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland. I also have a PhD in Sociology/Criminology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and years of experience working with court-involved clients. I’m originally from Florida, but I lived in Minnesota and Wisconsin before moving to Baltimore 14 years ago.

I have experience working in a wide variety of settings with clients who struggle with trauma, PTSD, major life transitions, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and domestic violence. I use a variety of evidence-based therapies, primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I draw on my extensive experience and training to start with clients exactly where they are. I help clients identify goals for therapy and strategies for meeting those goals, all in the context of a safe, affirming, and supportive environment.

I am passionate about providing an inclusive, collaborative, and engaged approach to therapy. My sensitivity to the challenges experienced by people related to race, ethnicity, class, age, ability, and gender strongly informs my approach. I am committed to helping adult clients and couples heal and flourish in the context of their lives, relationships, and work. I strive to make therapy an effective and positive experience for everyone.
