Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor / Pronouns: She/Her
I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor who works with children and individuals. I apply a person-centered approach aimed at providing empathy and understanding first and foremost during therapy. As a therapist, I think that context and culture are exceptionally important when it comes to diagnosing and proceeding through therapy. There is a place for each theory and approach and as such I will work with the client to find what works best for them. I have incorporated psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, emotion focused, and reality-based models when working with clients. My areas of interest include working with clients through family/couple dysfunction, depression, trauma processing, managing life changes, and anxiety.
I graduated from Wright State University with a Master of Science in Clinician Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Transylvania University. Previously I worked in community mental health in Ohio where I also worked at a domestic violence shelter while I finished my education.
