My name is Josie Bowers and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I hold a master’s degree in counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Maryland Baltimore County. My background is in crisis intervention counseling, supporting police departments and local agencies with a diverse population of clients ranging from children to adults with a wide range of mental health diagnoses and goals.
I believe counseling should be practical. In the counseling relationship, you can expect me to be authentic, direct, and genuine. Drawing from Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Motivational Interviewing techniques will emphasize a collaborative therapeutic relationship and create a space free of judgment. Together we will determine helpful methods that are supportive, help you feel connected, are motivating, and ultimately assist you in reaching therapeutic goals.
