Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor
My name is Mikala and I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC). I completed my schooling at West Virginia University; a Masters’ Degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling, Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Exercise Psychology with a Minor in Military Science. In previous roles, I gained experience working with a diverse population of adults with a variety of diagnoses and goals.
My objective is to establish a counseling relationship in which you feel safe and encouraged throughout your therapy process. I approach counseling with evidenced-based strategies to work together for the duration of your healing process and fulfilling your goals. I specialize in working with adults on issues related to anxiety, depression, first responders, military, personality disorders, trauma/PTSD, and substance abuse. I believe it is important to welcome all who are attempting to make changes to their life and support finding their confidence and empowerment in the process.
