Administrative Director / Director of First Responder Care / Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and I graduated from Loyola University Maryland with a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology in 2011 and joined GBCC in 2013. My clinical work has involved crisis work, hospital based care, and outpatient counseling as well as program management.
As a therapist, I find it important to be both direct and empathetic to help clients with their challenges. In addition to this, I hope to help clients gain practical skills while exploring things they may not have been comfortable looking at before entering counseling. I use an intergrated treatment approach combining cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic theories while focusing on the importance of interpersonal relationships, coping, motivation, and physical well being. I also have specialized training in treating Trauma including EMDR therapy.
I come from a law enforcement family and have extensive experience in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and assisting law enforcement in peer support practices working with a police based crisis intervention team. I specialize in working with law enforcement and first responders, trauma, grief, and men’s issues.
In addition to my clinical practice, I provide oversight and management of administrative functions of Greater Baltimore Counseling Center
