Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor / Pronouns: She/Her
Being a mental health therapist fulfills a desire to help people that I’ve had since childhood. I have a natural ability to make people feel valued, heard, encouraged, and empowered. That is my purpose and goal as a therapist.
My therapeutic personality styles are empathy and authenticity, so I easily build rapport with my clients, which allows me to establish the necessary foundation for a healthy client-therapist relationship. My approach toward a counseling relationship is client centered and allows me to actively listen and create a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients to freely explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
To best meet each client’s unique needs and therapy goals, I draw from solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and mindfulness therapies.
My work-life experiences make me adept at handling issues of anxiety, depression, conflict mediation, eating disorders (binge eating, overeating), weight loss and weight management challenges, grief/loss, learning disabilities, stress management, suicidal ideation, parenting/co-parenting, couples’ conflict/resolution, and health and wellness issues.
